Practical Information
Lønstrup sits on the west coast of North Jutland, about 15 km west of Hjørring. The village is small and easy to explore on foot. In summer it gets busy – parking at the edge of the village and walking the rest is usually the easiest option.

Getting here
By car, take the E39 to the Hjørring exit and continue about 15 minutes west. Arriving from abroad, the ferry from Kristiansand or Kiel to Hirtshals puts you about 25 km north of the village. The nearest railway station is Hjørring, with regional buses on to Lønstrup.
Parking
There are several free car parks in and around the village centre, including by the beach and at the upper entrance to the village. In high season these fill up around midday, so allow a little extra time.
Electric cars
Charging points are available in Lønstrup and nearby, including fast chargers. The Danish detail page lists current locations.
Money, payment and mobile
The currency is the Danish krone (DKK). Cards are accepted virtually everywhere and cash is rarely needed. EU mobile plans roam at no extra cost.
